Can Fish Ride Bikes…. Apparently So!

Like most folks I like to think of Sunday’s as a quite day. You go to church in the morning, come home have a well earned Sunday roast with family or friends. Have a coffee some cake and a time nodding off gently on the sofa. Well the first bit we did (apart from the part about sleeping with two kids you got to be joking)

We had a good morning at church then we came home cooked the Sunday lunch washed up after Sunday lunch and had just sat down with a cup of coffee. When we heard these words… “I’m bored!!"… "There’s nothing to do!"… then I answered "why don’t you tidy your bedroom" or "why don’t you play with all those toys you have"… and you just know what they are going to say… “NO THATS BORING I NEVER GET TO DO ANYTHING FUN!!!" So Johnny suggested that they went for a bike ride. Great I thought I can sit down peace and quite I might watch the afternoon film…. HA! HA! HA!

Then Lee said mum why don’t you come?  you never ride your bike?  I have not been on my bike since 1997!!! and for those of you doing the maths yes that is 10 years ago! Then Rachel said please mummy, Lee said please mum and then Johnny said go on. So I did! I know I know shock horror Kristine on a bike but I have to say it was good fun just don’t tell Johnny or he will make me do it again! But I was able to enjoy a guilt free pudding when we got home hoorayemoticon

Well we can finally see the floor in our house cardboard boxes are finally empted HOORAY!!emoticon

We arrived in Northampton Monday 25th August and since then it has been a whirl wind of getting to know folks, places and lots and lots of times getting lost (obviously just me cos Johnny would never get lost!) but slowly we are finding our feet and moving forward. We think this next year is going to be a roller coaster of a year so we have buckled up and holding tight!

There is lots I could say but you will have to wait for the next thrilling installment of our news letter which will be out in the next week or so… so if you don’t get our newsletter please send us your e-mail address and we will send you a copy!

Thank you to all of you who have been praying for schools for the kids. Lee goes to a little village primary which he has settled in well to. He has to get the school bus but he is enjoying the independence. Rachel is in a school which is in walking distance of the house which is great and she loves it. Both kids have made good friends and seem to be enjoying life here in Grange Park so praise God for answered prayer! "Our God is a great big God"

Johnny and I are enjoying the work and the church here and Johnny certainly will be up to all sorts over these next few months (to find out what, stay in tune!) Me…. well I am getting to know some of the mums and enjoying it! Chatting drinking coffee and eating cake it is a hard life but someone has to do it!! Even just chatting with some of the mums in the church is really going to be a learning curve for me! So we are about to start the next phase of our adventure so hold on tight and enjoy the ride with us!
