More School Holiday’s

We are now in half term with the kids. I Like school holidays I know most of you parents must think I am mad but I enjoy not have to get up early make luches, hurrying kids to get dressed, teeth brushed and push two grumpy kids out the door! While they are telling me how unfair it is that they have to go to school! Then when they get back home getting homework done to take back. I don’t know about you but I hate all that it feels like you are walking through treacle.

So when half term comes I enjoy chilling out with the kids and taking the day as it comes. Johnny and I have a week off learning German which is good, but the books are still coming out and being read over. Please keep praying for our language learning. I am finding it hard going!

We will be going to a church in Colchester next sunday to speak on behalf of ECM. Please pray for us as we go there and who knows maybe they will become one of our sending churches! emoticon

Disco Fever….

Well last night Rachel had her first school disco… thankfully Johnny was on hand to chaperone. Rachel got all dressed up and off she went. I told her she was not allowed to kiss any boys and she just smiled and said muuuuumm! so it begins…emoticon

Lee has a disco next week but he does not want to go. He say that girls are yukkk!!!! and all they want to do is chase him and his friends. I feel we are entering a new phase of parenting. Any advice……

Learning German….

We wanted to let you how the German is going…. I can’t believe we are now a month into learning German….. Johnny attends college very Tuesday night for about two hours. He is enjoying the challenge of learning a language but wishes he could learn more faster. Feet on the ground Johnny feet on the ground… but it seems to be going very well.

Now me on the other hand I go into the ECM office every Monday for an hour where one of the ladies that work there used to teach French and German, has kindly offered to teach me but I am finding it very hard to make it stick, despite the effort of Anne (the lady who teaches me). Learning German is complicated by the fact that I have dyslexia. Anne does a really good job each week and I really appreciate all the effort. We are sure that we will be able to learn this language no matter how hard it seems just now. So your prayers would be very much appreciated for us all as we learn separately together.
